With the lame duck session moving on at its speed, advocates of the online casinos from the commercial casino industry are engaging themselves in full court press for making sure that something is done to the earliest.
According to Frank Fahrenkopf, who is the president of the top lobbying group in the commercial casino industry, the country may soon see a huge change in its history of online gambling.
While speaking to the press, he said, “There are high chances that if there is no quick congressional action, US may soon see its largest legal gambling expansion ever.”
He is hopeful of the draft of bill from Sen. Jon Kyl and Harry Reid getting a look upon sooner than later.
Even though it is a poker only bill at this stage, many experts believe that it could be a stepping-stone for many things in the future.
It is believed that other casino games might also be considered in the Reid-Kyl bill. There are possibilities that it might give scope for some of the states to allow online slots as well. However, there is no concrete evidence on the same.
It is believed by many that online gambling legalization in most of the states across US is almost a certainty. However, the question, which still looms large over it, is when this legalization will take effect.
